Onde
Marina Lima Lyrics

Depois acaba e é sempre assim
Tudo me encara
E eu paro aqui e choro
Eu paro aqui e choro
Quero voltar
Mas prá onde eu vou
Onde?
Orminda, longe
Já nem sei voltar
Um dia eu vou te encontrar
Já nem sei voltar
Um dia eu vou me encontrar
Marina Lima's song Onde talks about feeling lost and disconnected from one's sense of home and identity. The opening line, "Alguém me amarra assim" (Someone ties me up like this), sets the scene of a person feeling powerless and confined by their own circumstances. The repetition of "Depois acaba e é sempre assim" (Then it ends and it's always like this) suggests that this feeling of being trapped is a recurring theme in the person's life.
As the song progresses, it becomes clear that the person is searching for a sense of home and belonging. "A casa se esconde de mim" (The house hides from me) conveys the idea that the person is unable to find a place where they feel they belong. The repetition of "Onde?" (Where?) underscores the person's sense of confusion and uncertainty.
Despite this feeling of being lost and disconnected, the song ends on a note of hope. "Um dia eu vou te encontrar" (One day I'll find you) suggests that the person is still holding onto the hope of eventually finding a place where they can feel at home. The repetition of "Já nem sei voltar" (I don't even know how to go back) reinforces the idea that this journey may be difficult, but ultimately worthwhile.
Overall, Marina Lima's Onde is a poignant exploration of the human desire for connection and belonging. The song offers a raw and honest glimpse into the struggles of finding a place to call home.
