Formed, in 1978, with Charly García, David Lebón and Oscar Moro, the group Serú Girán, considered by audiences and critics alike to be a landmark in Argentine Rock music, which left a legacy of 10 albums, attendance records and an influence that transcends generations.
In 1983 he joined the Pat Metheny Group as multi-instrumentalist and vocalist. This line-up of the acclaimed group performed around the world and won three Grammy Awards for "First Circle" (1984),"Letter from Home" (1989) and "The Road to You" (1993).
Wrote the scores for the following films:

Works as producer, composer, arranger, instrumentalist and singer on recordings and on stage with some of the most prominent artists of Argentina and the world.
Gives lectures and clinics on recording, mixing and record production, as well as artistic creativity.
Published in 1992 his poetry book "Pruebas de Fuego", re-released in 2005 by Longseller.
Leads his own group since 1993, with which he explores the roots of Argentine and Latin American popular music, imparting to it a unique and personal contemporary feel contributed, in equal measure, by his ample experience in other styles such as Rock and Jazz, his constant openness to new tendencies as well as his investigation of old traditions.

soy admirador de Victor Jara de toda la vida y nada de malo tiene que Pedro Aznar interprete las canciones de Victor en forma sublime, por que hay que decirlo, algunas de las muchas canciones que el canta las interpreta mejor que el propio Victor Jara y eso los engrandece a ambos. A uno por crearla, al otro por capturar la esencia, el sentimiento, adaptarla y presentarla actualizada con gran maestría. El arte no tiene nacionalidad ni frontera, solo se admira

@Claudio Correa Mira... la respuesta es excesiva y poco real. Saquemos al gran (y respetuoso) Pedro Aznar y a Víctor de esta tontera.
Creo que es absurdo hablar de "mejores" y "peores". Lo que sí es comparable el sentir detrás de la canción. Víctor la hizo muy enamorado de su futura esposa, antes de entablar una relación con ella. Aquí, la pregunta de cajón: ¿es el mismo sentimiento al interpretar el estar viviendo una situación X o acercarte intelectualmente a ella?
Sin ofender, creo que el sentimiento es instranferible y lo intelectual se puede acercar muchísimo; pero son distintos.
Sos grande Pedro y te admiro plr tu sencillez, calidad humana y ser un gran artista.
Aquí, sólo estamos hueviando con dimes y diretes, Pedro. Tú lo haces bien.

Pedro Aznar! El musico mas completo que he visto hasta ahora, interpreta desde Rock, Jazz.. hasta Folklore y Coplas! Instrumentalmente.. inigualable! Musicalemente.. completo! Demuestra en cada interpretacion madurez artistica. La voz como ninguna otra muy armoniosa y suave. Tiene escuela desde Seru, Spinetta Jade, Leda Valladares, Mercedes Sosa, Pat Metheny... simplemente un genio!! Ojala pueda verlo en Ecuador.

Pude verlo en México hace un par de meses,quedé impactado con su nivel de perfección! Y lo vimos tocando al menos 6 o 7 instrumentos! Todos con maestría! De locos realmente, yo ya lo admiraba mucho pero verlo en vivo y que dedicara un poema a los 43 normalistas de Ayotzinapa fue algo muy emotivo, no pude contener el llanto en varias canciones. Tienes que verlo cuando tengas la oportunidad, definitivamente.
