The lyrics of Pierangelo Bertoli's song Alete e al ragasol paint a vivid picture of life in a small, close-knit community in Italy. The first stanza describes the end of the day, with the singer and the other children getting ready for bed, saying goodnight to their parents, and planning to go for a walk to see the sunset. They come across a bird known as a "merel" that sings beautifully, reminiscent of a professor giving a lecture. They stop to listen and appreciate its song before continuing on their way. This scene captures the innocence and wonder of childhood, as well as the beauty of nature and the sense of community that comes from walking together and sharing experiences.
The second stanza introduces the character of a boy who can never sleep, even as he grows older. Despite his difficulties, the other children still look up to him and admire his ability to stay up all night. The song ends with a nostalgic image of an older man who used to sell candy and soda in the local square, reminding the singer of happy times from the past. Overall, the song is a celebration of simple pleasures, and a reminder of the importance of community, nature, and childhood memories.

Remember Our Music
Lullaby
The day is gone and it is night now.
Come on, we'll go to the crib and try to sleep
because even daddy and mom must go to sleep.
And tomorrow, when we get up and brush our teeth,
we will take a trip and enjoy the sun.
There was a blackbird that whistled
along with some professor;
if we get up early we'll look for him
to listen to it, so ...
Go to sleep, dear one, for it's night already
and all the babies go to their cribs in mom's arms.
And tomorrow when we get up and have breakfast
we'll go to grandpa's and he'll give you an egg.
There was once a gentleman who had a son,
who did not want to sleep.
And this son, instead of growing up,
he was forever a child.
It's time to close your eyes, and now I'll tell you a fairy tale:
"Once upon a time there was an elderly gentleman who would go out to the street to sell string and glue ...".
And tomorrow when we get up and give mom a kiss
we'll go and tell him something and ... good night ... good night ...

ETERE RADIOASCOLTO
