T.Love started … Read Full Bio ↴(Not to be confused with T-Love the Hip-Hop artist).
T.Love started as a punk rock band “Teenage Love Alternative” in Częstochowa (Poland) in 1982. The lineup at that time consisted of Zygmunt “Muniek” Staszczyk (vocalist), Janusz Konorowski (guitarist), Dariusz Zając (keyboardist) and Jacek Wudecki (drummer). They quickly gained popularity, partly due to their infamous habit of giving shows under influence, and were chosen to perform during Jarocin Festival in 1984. The band changed their name to T.Love in 1987, and went on a 2-year hiatus in 1989. Staszczyk reactivated the band in 1991 with a new lineup and more pop rock sound. Today, T.Love are: Jacek Perkowski, Maciej Majchrzak (guitarists), Sidney Polak (drummer), Paweł Nazimek (bass player) and Michał Marecki (keyboardist). The band has achieved commercial success, bringing many of their songs to the first places of musical charts.

Johnny Cash, you understand
I'm a Country Rebel Boy
My big bottle is my toy
I′m a Country Rebel Bitch
Don't worry low and out of rich
I'm a Country Rebel Guy
I′m a Country Rebel!
(I′m a Country Rebel!)
Woohoo!
I'm a Country Rebel!
(I′m a Country Rebel!)
Woohoo!
So...
One, two, three, four
Old fuckers no more
Five, six, seven, eight
All children go to hell
One, two, three, four
Old fuckers no more
Five, six, seven, eight
All saints go to hell
I'm a Country Rebel Man
In this bar I will buy a gun
I′m a Country Rebel Lad
I feel so good, I'm so glad
I′m a Country Rebel Bitch
Don't worry low and out of rich
I'm a Country Rebel Boy
My big bottle is my toy
I′m a Country Rebel!
(I′m a Country Rebel!)
Woohoo!
I'm a Country Rebel!
(I′m a Country Rebel!)
Woohoo!
So...
One, two, three, four
Old fuckers no more
Five, six, seven, eight
All children go to hell
One, two, three, four
Old fuckers no more
Five, six, seven, eight
All saints go to hell
I love you so
No, no, no more
I love you so
No, no, no more
The lyrics to T.Love's Country Rebel are a celebration of a rebellious spirit that defies the norms of society. The song is an anthem for those who refuse to conform to the societal expectations of a conservative and traditional way of life, as exemplified by the traditional country music artists such as Johnny Cash. The opening lines declare "I'm a Country Rebel Man, Johnny Cash, you understand," emphasizing the influence of Johnny Cash on the rebel image of the song's protagonist. The use of the term "bitch" in the lyrics is a subversion of gender expectations, suggesting that rebellion is not exclusive to men. The singer of the song is presented as free-spirited, and unapologetic as they proclaim "Don't worry low and out of rich."
The lyrics include a call to action to reject the old ways of thinking, "One, two, three, four, old fuckers no more, five, six, seven, eight, all saints go to hell, all children go to hell." This line suggests a desire to break free from religious conventions, and do away with the old-fashioned rules that restrict individual freedom. The refrain "I'm a Country Rebel," functions as a mantra to reinforce the message of the song.
Overall, T.Love's Country Rebel embodies the essence of rebellion, and the struggle to be free from the confines of conformity. It is a proclamation of an independent spirit that rejects the established norms of society, and celebrates the power of individualism.
