T.Love started … Read Full Bio ↴(Not to be confused with T-Love the Hip-Hop artist).
T.Love started as a punk rock band “Teenage Love Alternative” in Częstochowa (Poland) in 1982. The lineup at that time consisted of Zygmunt “Muniek” Staszczyk (vocalist), Janusz Konorowski (guitarist), Dariusz Zając (keyboardist) and Jacek Wudecki (drummer). They quickly gained popularity, partly due to their infamous habit of giving shows under influence, and were chosen to perform during Jarocin Festival in 1984. The band changed their name to T.Love in 1987, and went on a 2-year hiatus in 1989. Staszczyk reactivated the band in 1991 with a new lineup and more pop rock sound. Today, T.Love are: Jacek Perkowski, Maciej Majchrzak (guitarists), Sidney Polak (drummer), Paweł Nazimek (bass player) and Michał Marecki (keyboardist). The band has achieved commercial success, bringing many of their songs to the first places of musical charts.

Kochałem Marilyn Monroe
Ten Twój semicki mix
Z germańską zimną krwią
Menora Jesteś jak,
Samarytanka porno
Mężczyźni tracą głowę
Menora otrzyj łzy,
Menora koniec gry
Histerie Twoje znam,
Najwyższy czas na kwas
Ósmego samobója
Popełniasz w ciągu dnia
Zaplanuj nowy ład
Zbombarduj mi mój świat

The song "Menora Bentz" by T. Love is a complex exploration of identity, desire, and power dynamics. The singer addresses Menora, a woman who he claims to have loved but also seems to view with a mixture of fascination, fear, and contempt. He references Marilyn Monroe and her "semicki mix," perhaps implying that Menora has a similar cultural and ethnic background. He suggests that Menora's allure is both sexual and dangerous, causing men to lose their heads and ultimately planning to kill them.
The singer acknowledges Menora's emotional volatility and suggests that it's time for her to "zaplanuj nowy ład" or plan a new order. He also references a new drug called "Johanbina" which he claims will make Menora naked and bring about nightfall. The references to Robert Zimmerman and corporate power further suggest a theme of destabilization and a desire to disrupt traditional power structures.
Overall, the lyrics of "Menora Bentz" are both provocative and cryptic, leaving room for interpretation and multiple layers of meaning. It's possible to see the song as a commentary on gender roles, cultural identity, and the ways in which desire can be both enticing and threatening.
