The lyrics of amazarashi's song "Mask Children" convey a sense of dissatisfaction and frustration with the world. The first verse talks about closing the curtains and peering through the condensation on the window, symbolizing a desire to isolate oneself from the chaotic and overwhelming reality. The lyrics express the feeling of being overwhelmed by the fast-paced life, and how dreams and aspirations get buried under the weight of busy days. By the time one realizes it, it feels like it's too late, and years have passed without any progress or fulfillment. The song highlights the struggle of trying to maintain a facade, hiding emotions and true intentions behind a mask, while longing for understanding and validation.
Overall, "Mask Children" captures the struggles of individuals who feel trapped in a world that doesn't seem to understand or acknowledge their inner turmoil. It reflects the frustration of having to conform to societal expectations and suppress genuine feelings, while yearning for validation and a chance to break free from the monotony of daily life.
