Angham, a native from the province of Alexandria, started her career in 1987 under the guidance of her father, Mohammad Ali Suleiman, with the breakaway track "Fil Rokn elBaeed elHady" (In The Far and Calm Corner), although she has been singing before in radio stations and small theaters. Her unstable relationship with her father forced Angham to choose new albums that are supervised and produced by many new composers and lyricists. "Ella Ana" (Except Me) has been the first album without her father's help and it gained instant success around the Middle East.
After the release of "Sidi Wisalak", Angham worked with a new team that changed her classic image and encouraged her to experiment new western music. "Omry Maak" (My Life With You), released in 2003, competed with her 2001 record "Leih Sebtaha" and toppled the latter to become the most selling album in Angham's career. Both albums were produced by Alam elPhan music company. In 2005, Angham released "Bahibbik Wahashteeny" (I Love You and Miss You), which was commercially a failure and caused a lot of tension in Angham's career. After a two years of hard work, Angham came forward to the Pop music scene with her third best-selling album "Kolma N'arrab" (Whenever We Grow Closer) in which, till nowadays, continues to express lot of popularity, especially the title track, "Mabatallamesh" (I'll Never Learn) and "Hatmannalo elKheir" (Wishing Him All the Best).
Angham is also known to be best friends with Syrian artist, Asala, and socialite, Samah Anwar.

The lyrics of Angham's song "Esraany" express deep longing and desire for love and connection. The song opens with the plea to be written in love and immersed in longing, comparing the experience to melting wax in a long night. The singer yearns to be consumed by passion and to taste the sweetness of longing, hoping to be taken back to a beautiful past.
The repeated refrain of being stolen away from everything that surrounds the singer suggests a desire to escape from the world's distractions and return to a simpler time. The night mentioned in the lyrics symbolizes a moment of intense connection and intimacy with another person. The singer expresses the sentiment that even though it may not be much for others, it means everything to them to live this night in each other's embrace.
The lyrics continue to delve into the theme of overwhelming desire and the longing to be held above all else. The singer pleads to be embraced more and more, wanting to be shown again how one can revive what was lost in conflict and distance. The imagery of melting further into the person they desire conveys a sense of surrender and vulnerability.
As the song progresses, the singer asks to be lived again, even if only for a few hours, without tears or sighs. The desire to awaken the years gone by and break the silence speaks to a longing for rejuvenation and a return to a time when everything was vibrant and alive. The repetition of the plea to live again emphasizes the yearning for a second chance at happiness and fulfillment.
In the final verses, the song circles back to the central themes of being stolen away into a night of embrace and being held above all longing. The singer implores to live again, if only for a few hours, without sorrow, and to awaken the dormant years and break the silence. The repeated calls to be taken back to this night of embrace reinforce the idea of cherishing moments of connection and intimacy amidst the complexities of life. Overall, the lyrics of "Esraany" convey a yearning for deep connection, emotional revival, and the rekindling of past joys.
