The lyrics of the song "Pare me sti varka mesa" by Glykeria express a desire to be taken on a boat ride by a boatman. The singer describes the boatman as a handsome, strong young man whom she loves. She asks the boatman to take her on a ride to the fishing grounds where she can catch fish for him. She also mentions how she wants him to hold her close when the weather is cold. The repetitive use of the phrase "egia mola egia lesa" emphasizes the rhythmic nature of the song and gives it a sense of urgency.
The theme of the song is about love, adventure, and nature. The boat represents not just a means of transportation but also a metaphor for life's journey. The boatman is seen as a guide who can navigate the course of life and steer the singer to safety. The lyrics suggest a deep longing for the simple pleasures of life, like fishing in the sea, enjoying the weather, and being close to someone you love.
