There are so many examples of music like this starting in the 60's. I think it peaked in the early 00's with groups like The Books or Lymbyc System or I Am Robot and Proud. Remixed versions of things are nothing new, really, but I guess most people can't believe it's from 2007 because it's not just a remixed version of something, its style is more specific: it's dubstep, several years before dubstep actually happened as a proper music scene (circa 2010 onwards). It contains elements of vaporwave as well, which would only become a thing around the second half of the 2010's. I love this. And when I see this is from 2007 I get shocked. The music with the video gives me vintage, chill but also terror vibes. This is perfect, and the creator is a genius.
