The Three Bells
The Browns Lyrics

There's a village hidden deep in the valley
Among the pine trees half forlorn
And there on a sunny morning
Little Jimmy Brown was born (Bung, bung, bung, bung)

All the chapel bells were ringing
In the little valley town
And the song that they were singing
Was for baby Jimmy Brown

Then the little congregation
Prayed for guidance from above
"Lead us not into temptation,
Bless this hour of meditation,
Guide him with eternal love"

There's a village hidden deep in the valley
Beneath the mountains high above
And there, twenty years thereafter
Jimmy was to meet his love (Bung, bung, bung, bung)

All the chapel bells were ringing
'Twas a great day in his life
'Cause the songs that they were singing
Was for Jimmy and his wife

Then the little congregation
Prayed for guidance from above
"Lead us not into temptation,
Bless, oh Lord this celebration,
May their lives be filled with love"

From the village hidden deep in the valley
One rainy morning dark and gray
A soul winged its way to heaven
Jimmy Brown had passed away (Bung, bung, bung, bung)

Just a lonely bell was ringing
In the little valley town
'Twas farewell that it was singing
To our good ol' Jimmy Brown (little Jimmy Brown)

And the little congregation
Prayed for guidance from above
"Lead us not into temptation,
May his soul find the salvation,
Of thy great eternal love"

Lyrics: The Three Bells

There's a village hidden deep in the valley,
Among the pine trees half forlorn.
And there on a sunny morning,
Little Jimmy Brown was born.

All the chapel bells were ringing,
In the little valley town,
And the songs that they were singing,
Was for baby Jimmy Brown.
And the little congregation,
Prayed for guidance from above,
Lead us not into temptation,
Bless this hour of meditation,
Guide him with eternal love.

There's a village hidden deep in the valley,
beneath the mountains high above.
And there twenty years thereafter,
Jimmy was to meet his love.

All the chapel bells were ringing,
'Twas a great day in his life.
For the songs that they were singing,
Was for Jimmy and his wife.
And the little congregation,
Prayed for guidance from above.
Lead us not into temptation,
Bless oh Lord this celebration,
May their lives be filled with love.

From the village hidden deep in the valley,
One rainy morning dark and grey.
A soul winged its way to Heaven,
Jimmy Brown had passed away.

Just a lonely bell was ringing,
In the little valley town.
'Twas fair well that it was singing,
To our good old Jimmy Brown.
And the little congregation,
Prayed for guidance from above,
Lead us not into temptation,
May his soul find true salvation,
of Thy great eternal love.

This simple little song is better than all of the mainstream music released in the last 10 years.

Thanks for the amazing blanket statement. Mostly it means you were probably around 14 when you heard it. It is a wonderful song though, but music and art aren't sports with and objective scoring system. We should be glad there's so much beautiful music in the world including some we might not understand.

A little late to reply, but that’s a HARD negative my guy. There has always been and will always be great music, good music, ok music and bad music. The “generation” in which it was made does not add to or take away from it. I feel sorry for people who think that just because something is old it’s good and especially bad for people who think anything new is bad. It’s a close minded way of thinking. Which is kinda the exact opposite mind set of what goes into any great piece of art.
