It All Feels Right
Washed Out Lyrics

Leaving heading eastbound
Weekend's almost here now
It's getting warmer outside
It all feels right
Call your friends, I'll call mine
We'll head out for a long ride
Sun is coming out now
It all feels right

Close my eyes
Think about the old times
What's it all about?
The feeling when it all works out

We'll be gone for a few nights
Meet up with the old crowd
Music's playing so loud
It all feels right

Close my eyes
Think about the old times
What's it all about?
The feeling when it all works out

It All Feels Right
Washed Out

Leaving heading eastbound
Weekend’s almost here now
It’s getting warmer outside
It all feels right

Call your friends, I’ll call mine
We’ll head out for a long ride
Sun is coming out now
It all feels right

Close my eyes
Think about the old times
What’s it all about?
The feeling when it all works out

We’ll be gone for a few nights
Meet up with the old crowd
Music’s playing so loud
It all feels right

Close my eyes
Think about the old times
What’s it all about?
The feeling when it all works out

Saliendo rumbo este
Leaving heading eastbound

El fin de semana ya casi está aquí
Weekend's almost here now

Hace más calor afuera
It's getting warmer outside

Todo se siente bien
It all feels right

Llama a tus amigos, yo llamaré a los míos
Call your friends, I'll call mine

Saldremos a dar un largo paseo
We'll head out for a long ride

Sale el sol ahora
Sun is coming out now

Todo se siente bien
It all feels right

Cierro los ojos
Close my eyes

Piensa en los viejos tiempos
Think about the old times

¿De que trata todo esto?
What's it all about?

El sentimiento cuando todo funciona
The feeling when it all works out

Nos iremos por algunas noches
We'll be gone for a few nights

Reúnase con la vieja multitud
Meet up with the old crowd

La música suena muy fuerte
Music's playing so loud

Todo se siente bien
It all feels right

Cierro los ojos
Close my eyes

Piensa en los viejos tiempos
Think about the old times

¿De que trata todo esto?
What's it all about?

El sentimiento cuando todo funciona
The feeling when it all works out

Close my eyes
Think about the old times
What's it all about?
The feeling when it all works out

We'll be gone for a few nights
Meet up with the old crowd
Music's playing so loud

It all feels right

This album, and Washed Out in general, got me through my divorce a few years ago. And not because I was high. But the music took me to another place. As soon as I'd pop this on, it was like I was magically transported to, like, Thailand or Kiribati or something. Some place where people chill on the beach all day, palm trees sway in the ocean breeze, and divorce is a million miles away. They helped ease the greatest pain I've ever known, and for that, Washed Out will always have a special place in my heart.

And here I am getting more sad with my favorite music. It reminds me of the good times that I won’t have anymore with certain people.

@Joseph P. Way better, thank you! The Universe has been unimaginably good, and I've been learning how to look back and see patterns and how to understand things on a different level than I was capable of back then. It's great. I'm grateful for all of it. It's like that concept of "Amor Fati," (which is incidentally enough also a Washed Out song) which means you love your fate. Nietzsche basically described it as you're so satisfied with your fate that you also love the hard times that preceded it, knowing that it got you to where you are now, and wouldn't change them if you could.

I'm in a great place now. I'm doing what I love, my partner is the most incredible human I've ever known over a dozen lifetimes, and I'm on the most incredible spiritual journey. None of it would have happened if I'd done a single thing differently in my life previously. Everything happened precisely when it was meant to, and so I love my dark night of the soul because it led me here.

Ha ha. Probably way more of an answer than you were hoping for, but there it is. :D

@Emile Todd Yes! In some weird way I kind of miss those times. Life felt so raw and to-the-bone, but at the same time I felt SO alive! Now I feel just as alive but in a different, healthier way. I know myself so much more deeply than I ever could have imagined. It's all part of the flow. :) Hope you're in a healthier and happier place, too!

@MixedMediaInk Thank you!

@Chachawavy Thank you. I'm happy for it now. This was 9 years ago (almost to the day, actually, that I moved out and into my own place).. My ex and I are both with the right people now, and we're both so happy. Life is so good, and it hurt for a bit, but how do you know the good times without the hard times, you know?

Lost many friends during times my mind was lost with type of music like this. Ive been disrespected and rejected, but I always come back to this. Lost in my own world, who wants to join me?

Those weren’t real friends if they didn’t accept your great taste in music. Keep being you
