1. Formed by Nagy Feró and Németh Alajos in 1982, Budapest, Hungary, Bikini is one of the most successful Hungarian rock band of the eighties. Nagy Feró's (also known as "the cockroach of the nation", as he called himself) former punk band, the legendary Beatrice split up in 1982, after having serious problems with communist authorities, when they formed this band.
The band music and lyrics was, like much of the communist era, filled with hidden meanings against the oppression. With Nagy Feró in the front of the Bikini they produced two studio albums, which were very progressive, post modern punk rock albums. Their debut was "Hová lett?" (1983), followed by the "XX. századi híradó" (1984) one year later. However as the eroding of Hungarian communist regime became more obvious and faster, Feró left the Bikini for reuniting the Beatrice.
In 1985 D. Nagy Lajos arrived to the band as a lead singer, when they progressed to a more accessible and melodic rock sound, and produced legendary and very successful hit songs like "Közeli helyeken" or "Ki visz haza?", which are still very popular and often played in Hungary. The band split up in 1992 but reunited in 1997.
Members are: D. Nagy Lajos, Németh Alajos, Lukács Peta, Mihalik Viktor, Makovics Dénes, Bördén Szabolcs.
Some former members are:
Nagy Feró (vocals 1982-85), Vedres Joe (guitar 1982-91, 1997-1998), Németh Gábor (drums, 1982-1985), Berecz Endre (drums, 1989-1991), Hirleman Bertalan (drums, 1985-1989, 1997-1998), Gallai Péter (keyboards 1985-2003), Daczi Zsolt (guitar 1991-2004), Csillag Endre (guitars 2004-2006), Kató Zoltán (saxophone, 1989-1998).

2. Bikini (electro-pop dance music duo) is Nigel Diamond and Olivier Olivier. Their music is like Salinger on MDMA. Diamond is originally from Miami and Olivier was classically trained at the Royal Conservatory.
Olivier Olivier is the son of the late Indian poet Fateh Bains and moved to Canada where he attended Glen-Lyon Norfolk School, a school chosen for its musical program affiliated with the Royal Conservatory of Music. It was here Olivier met Nigel Diamond, who was sent down after he was expelled from his previous school.
It wasn’t until after Glen-Lyon Norfolk that the two began to make music together. Olivier composes all the melodies in the fall of each year, drawing his inspiration from the poetry he writes during the summer. He records vocals, exports all his drafts without titles or form to Diamond. Diamond spends the following spring arranging Olivier's melodies, rhythm sequences and vocal treatments, adding his own lines. The result is a finished record. Nothing is sent back to Olivier. The songs are then sent from Diamond to be mastered and released.

Hálózsákom a falig ér
Csak melegít a bűnöm
Hogy még ágyam sem az enyém
Széles, tágas a tér
Álmom pont a falig ér
Újságpapírba csomagolva
Ruha nélkül, szégyenlősen
Mellém bújik a bánat
Reggelente velem ébred
Szívemben a bocsánat
Ruha nélkül, szégyenlősen
Mellém bújik a bánat
Reggelente velem ébred
Szívemben a bocsánat
Széles, tágas a tér
Álmom pont a falig ér
Újságpapírba csomagolva
A maradék remény
A hangosbemondó ásítva
Szólít mellém társat
Álmomban vonatok
Indulásra várnak
Ruha nélkül, szégyenlősen
Mellém bújik a bánat
Reggelente velem ébred
Szívemben a bocsánat
Ruha nélkül, szégyenlősen
Mellém bújik a bánat
Reggelente velem ébred
Szívemben a bocsánat
The lyrics of Bikini's song "Széles tágas" depict a sense of emptiness and isolation in a wide, spacious room. The imagery of a bed that does not feel like one's own and the feeling of sin being the only warmth present suggest a deep emotional struggle and detachment from personal comfort or belonging. The singer seems to be surrounded by physical space but lacks emotional connection or a sense of home.
The repetition of the phrase "Álmom pont a falig ér" (My dream reaches just to the wall) further emphasizes a sense of limitation and confinement in the character's aspirations and hopes. The idea of wrapping the remaining hope in newspaper symbolizes a poignant attempt to preserve optimism in the face of desolation or loss. It reflects a longing for something more, even though it may seem futile or fleeting.
The presence of sorrow and shame that timidly approaches and wakes with the character each morning adds a layer of vulnerability and introspection. The line "Szívemben a bocsánat" (Forgiveness in my heart) suggests a yearning for self-forgiveness and reconciliation with one's inner turmoil or past mistakes. The repeated image of being without clothes hints at a raw, exposed emotional state, where the pain and regret are deeply felt but also accepted as part of the character's reality.
The mention of a loudspeaker yawning and calling out for a companion, along with the trains waiting to depart in the character's dreams, introduces a theme of missed connections and unfulfilled potentials. The dreamlike imagery juxtaposed with the mundane and melancholic elements creates a surreal atmosphere, reflecting the character's inner turmoil and desire for escape or resolution. Overall, the lyrics of "Széles tágas" convey a haunting sense of isolation, longing, and introspection, as the singer grapples with their inner demons and searches for a sense of forgiveness and reconciliation within themselves.

Nemrég volt Békéscsabán koncert a csülök és sörfesztiválon, kb. a széles tágas tér a színpad előtt úgy televolt ,hogy egy tűt nem lehetett leejteni. És nagyon jó hangulat volt.
