Dariush's song "Sepid O Siyah" is a powerful ballad that explores the themes of loneliness, hopelessness, and despair. The song is a tale of a person who is lost, tired, and wandering aimlessly through life. The lyrics urge the listener to not become contaminated or tainted by life's hardships and to not dwell on the sadness of an aging body, but instead to listen to his story and let go of pointless worries.
The song's title, "Sepid O Siyah," translates to "black and white," which is a metaphor that represents the two contrasting shades symbolizing life's ups and downs, happiness, and sorrow. The singer's emotional state is directly linked to the black and white motifs in his surroundings. He sees himself as the black in a world of white, while others' optimism is depicted through the white in a world of blackness.
Dariush's poetic lyrics posit the idea that the pains and sufferings one bears in life may lead to feelings of isolation and despair. The singer has lost his sense of purpose, and all hope seems lost to him. He questions the point of continuing on this journey, as it seems futile. However, the only thing that keeps him going is the idea that one day he will find his way out of the darkness and emerge in a brighter place.

My only mistake has been to yearn for existence
