Ja sam tezak slucaj i tesko me rijesiti
Ja zivim od tudje milosti
Samo pamtim i zelim vratiti
Kazu treba biti strpljiv
A ti moras zapeti
Da bi bio sretan i slobodan
Kazem sretan i slobodan, ah
Sve je to ka kad je u pitanju igra
A ti smatras da je to neki veliki zlocin
Jer svatko radi ono sto hoce
Zato nismo svi isti, a sta bi da jesmo
A sta bi da jesmo
Odvedi me u moj grad
Gdje je trava zelena
Gdje su djeca sretna
Odvedi me u moj grad, hocu kuci
Depresivan sjedim u hotelskoj sobi
I ne sjecam se zasto sam ovdje
Nacelnik zdravstvene sluzbe kaze
Opasno je disati
I zato zapalio sam jos jednu cigaretu
I ne vidim tu nikakve opasnosti
Ma kome danas mozes vjerovati
Ja htjedoh biti ratnik
A oni ucinise da budem patnik
Boze vjeruj u mene, prebrojavam ja godine
I ja cu kao i ti Gospode na kriz
Zbog slobode, slobode
The lyrics of Thompson's song "Prognanička" describe a life of exile and hardship. The singer expresses that they live a difficult and meager life, living on the mercy of others. They remember the past and want to reclaim what was lost. The song suggests that patience and determination are necessary to find happiness and freedom. The chorus emphasizes the desire to return to their hometown, where life is green and children are happy. The lyrics also touch on themes of individuality and the freedom to do as one pleases, suggesting that not everyone is the same and that it is a blessing to be unique.

Zivim prognanickim, oskudnim zivotom
I live a displaced, impoverished life
Ja sam tezak slucaj i tesko me rijesiti
I am a difficult case and hard to get rid of
Ja zivim od tudje milosti
I depend on the mercy of others for my survival
Samo pamtim i zelim vratiti
I only remember and want to regain what was lost
Kazu treba biti strpljiv

A ti moras zapeti
And you must make an effort
Da bi bio sretan i slobodan
In order to be happy and free
Kazem sretan i slobodan, ah
I say happy and free, ah
Sve je to ka kad je u pitanju igra
It's all the same when it comes to the game
A ti smatras da je to neki veliki zlocin
And you think it's a great crime
Jer svatko radi ono sto hoce
Because everyone does what they want
Zato nismo svi isti, a sta bi da jesmo
That's why we're not all the same, and what if we were
A sta bi da jesmo
And what if we were
Odvedi me u moj grad
Take me to my city
Gdje je trava zelena
Where the grass is green
Gdje su djeca sretna
Where children are happy
Odvedi me u moj grad, hocu kuci
Take me to my city, I want home
Depresivan sjedim u hotelskoj sobi
Depressed, I sit in a hotel room
I ne sjecam se zasto sam ovdje
And I don't remember why I'm here
Nacelnik zdravstvene sluzbe kaze
The head of the health service says
Opasno je disati
Breathing is dangerous
I zato zapalio sam jos jednu cigaretu
And that's why I lit another cigarette
I ne vidim tu nikakve opasnosti
And I don't see any danger in it
Ma kome danas mozes vjerovati
But who can you trust today
Ja htjedoh biti ratnik
I wanted to be a warrior
A oni ucinise da budem patnik
But they made me a sufferer
Boze vjeruj u mene, prebrojavam ja godine
God, believe in me, I'm counting the years
I ja cu kao i ti Gospode na kriz
And I, like you, will bear the cross
Zbog slobode, slobode
For freedom, freedom
