The band eventually broke up in 1996 and Bunbury started his solo career in 1997 with a techno album, Radical Sonora with his new band: Copi (piano), del Moran (bass), Ramón Gacias (drums) and former Héroes del Silencio guitarrist Alan Boguslavsky.
Recognized by his wish to always reinvent himself, Bunbury released in 1999 the album Pequeño, which sounded much different than anything he did before. His band also suffered changes, Boguslavsky was replaced by Rafa Domínguez, and the new faces, Ana Belén Estaje (violin), Luis Miguel Romero (percussion), Javier Iñigo, Javier García Vega & Antonio Ríos in the metal instruments.
This band was known as the "Huracán Ambulante" ("Rambling Hurricane") and recorded with Bunbury the rest of his solo discography, (except Antonio Ríos).
In 2005, after 8 years together, Bunbury dissolved the band and declared that will record a new album in 2006 only with his voice and a piano. Nevertheless, in early 2006 he recorded an album with spanish artist Nacho Vegas by the name of El tiempo de las cerezas.
His old band, Héroes del Silencio, reunited in 2007 for a short tour which visited Latin America, United States and Spain.
El Tiempo Se Va

Seria mas sencillo
Es todo lo que pido
Pero aqui continuo
Y me estrello contra el muro
El tiempo se va...
El tiempo se va...
Que nos han vendido
Y nunca lo quisimos
Pero aqui continuo
Envuelto en este absurdo
El tiempo se va...
El tiempo se va...
Si pudiera aceptar mi destino
Me encuentro tan perdido
¡soy un desconocido!
Pero aqui continuo
Y me enfrento contra el mundo
El tiempo se va...
El tiempo se va...
El tiempo se va...
El tiempo se va...
En Enrique Bunbury's song El Tiempo Se Va, the singer reflects on his inner struggles and the fleeting nature of time. He longs to slow down the pace of his life and make things easier for himself, but he acknowledges that he is stuck in his current circumstances. He feels trapped and oppressed by the societal pressures and expectations that have been imposed upon him, even though he never asked for them in the first place. He is overwhelmed by the constant absurdity of life and the feeling of being lost in his own destiny. Despite these feelings of despair, he continues to face the world and confront his fears, all while time slips away.
The song is a poignant reminder of the inevitability of time and the struggles that come with living in a fast-paced, constantly changing world. It speaks to the universal human experience of feeling lost and trapped by circumstances beyond our control. Bunbury's lyrics are a powerful reflection of the human condition and the constant struggle to find meaning and purpose in our lives.
