Oщ l'on a йcrit: "A louer"
Mкme si tu revenais, je crois bien que rien n'y ferait
Mкme si tu revenais, je crois bien que rien n'y ferait
Mкme si tu revenais, je crois bien que rien n'y ferait
The lyrics of "Même si tu revenais" describe a man who reminisces about a time spent with his former lover. He visits a deserted countryside town where they spent time together in a big mansion, which is now abandoned and available for rent. As he walks through the eerie place, memories of their past flood his mind. He recalls how he waited for her one night until dawn, and she never showed up. Time has passed, but his love for her has not faded, although he finally acknowledges that their love is dead, and he would suffer too much if she were to return.
The verse "Un p'tit coin perdu trиs loin de la ville" sets the tone for the story. The lyrics speak of a remote, abandoned countryside where the singer has come to relive past moments. The mansion is at the end of an alley, which adds to the secluded atmosphere. The second verse, "Le vent s'est levй, et lа-haut au premier...," highlights how the place remains unchanged, and even the old, rusty shutters remain in the same position years later. The shutters signify the uncertainty and broken promises that once marked their relationship.
The chorus "Mкme si tu revenais, je crois bien que rien n'y ferait...," repeats the message that the singer no longer holds any hope for reconciliation with his former lover. He is realistic and has come to terms with the idea that their love is dead forever.
