The song "Khanom Gol" by Ebi is a heart-wrenching love ballad that tells the story of a man who is deeply in love with a woman named Khanom Gol. He struggles to bear the distance between them, wishing for her to come towards him and cross the bridge separating them. He reminisces about the moments they shared together and how her departure made it hard for him to move on. The lyrics have a poetic quality, with vivid imagery invoking the beauty of nature, using metaphors such as seasons and flowers that are commonly associated with expressing emotions.
The opening lines of the song set the emotional tone of the lyrics, with the singer expressing how hard it is to bear the separation from his love, Khanom Gol. He longs for her to come towards him, using the poetic metaphor of walking on his eyes. The repeated phrases of "Khanom Gol, Ay Khanom Gol" reflect his desperation and longing for her to return to him. In the second verse, the singer talks about the moment he first saw her in a garden during autumn and how her presence took root in his heart. He compares her presence to that of spring, which signifies hope and new beginnings.
In the third verse, the singer talks about his undying love for Khanom Gol, how he has built a flower garden for her, and how he's still hopeful for her to return to him one day. He knows that she might regret leaving him but urges her to come back soon, as time is running out. The repeated lines of the chorus and the bridge signify the singer’s longing and feelings of pain that he has to suppress while waiting for Khanom Gol to return to him.
