Thomas Bergersen Lyrics

Zakukala e kukuvitsa
Uh Rano mi, rano za Gergiovden
Kato kuka, kakvo li duma?
Mladi momi i nevesti
Кato kuka, rano mi rano
Kako duma na Gergiovden?
Na Gergiovden, rano mi rano
Rano mi rano

A Coocko bird is singing
Early, early for a St.George's day
When she sings, what is she thinking?
Young girls and brides
When she sings, early, early
What is she thinking on a St.George's Day?
On a st. George's Day early, early
Early, early

Kato zakukala e rano
Rano, zakukala e rano
Rano, za Gergiovden rano
Kukala Gergiovden

When she started singing early
Early, she started singing early
Early, on a st.George's Day early
She sang on a st.George's Day

Kato zakukala e rano
Rano, zakukala e rano
Rano, za Gergiovden rano
Kukala Gergiovden

After she started singing early
Early, she started singing early
Early, on a St.George's Day early
She sang on a St.George's Day

Zakukala rano mi rano
Zakukala rano mi rano
Rano rano kukovitsa e
Rano kukovitsa e kuka rano

She started singing early
She started singing early
Early early it's a Cuckoo bird
Early it's a Cuckoo bird, she sings early

Zakukala e kukuvitsa
Uh Rano mi, rano za Gergiovden
Kato kuka, kakvo li duma?
Mladi momi i nevesti
Кato kuka, rano mi rano
Kako duma na Gergiovden?
Na Gergiovden, rano mi duma
Rano mi rano

Early a Cuckoo bird started singing
Uh early, early on a St.George's Day
When she sings, what is she thinking?
Young girls and brides
When she sings, early early
What is she thinking on a st.George's Day?
On a st.George's Day, early she is thinking (contemplating)
Early, early

Kato zakukala e rano
Rano, zakukala e rano
Rano, za Gergiovden rano
Kukala Gergiovden

When she started singing early
Early, she started singing early
Early, on a st.George's Day early
She sang on a st.George's Day

As some of you comment, yes, Thomas used lyrics from the bulgarian folk song "Zakukala e kukuvitsa"
I have search and found the "Phonetic" of the bulgarian lyrics, but Thomas made a mix of the verses, is not as the original and it repeat some phrases and words. I took the job of listen and select the phrases according of this masterpiece.

Here is the result. Note: "mislae" and "na" is not from the original song I tried to found by ear what words might be and those two might be wrong (and yes "cuckoo" like the bird, the original song have a cuckoo impresion in the lyrics). Greetings from Mexico from a big, big fan of Thomas Bergersen.
Really hope you like it, as a Thomas B. fan I know what is to search and search the bulgarian lyrics of some of Thomas songs and no results on the "latin" phonetic :P I made my best to get this.

@VelvetAnimatic Adventures My own "Czerwona Kalina"/Cerwona kalyna blossoms first time now in Glasgow/Scotland after planting it three years ago! For a reason! :D Amazing how similar Ukrainian and Polish languages are! I hope we stay brothers much, much longer than this terrible war :-(

How can people hate this kind of music. It brings joy, peace, happiness and a lot more. It makes the pain a lot easier to bear and anger disappears. Just love it. Keep up the good work Thomas Bergersen. :D
