However many on YouTube only want to see Norma Jean as the character Marilyn Monroe, but Marilyn Monroe is NOT a real person, and Norma Jean was a REAL person and she was unhappy.
Judging by your comment I can tell that you didn't even watch the movie, because BLONDE definitely does NOT lack emotion, in fact it's FULL of Emotion, in addition to displaying Norma Jean/Marilyn Monroe as an intelligent and complex individual.

@Lina Van herpen I wouldn't say murdered intentionally. Accidental manslaughter or medical malpractice perhaps?
I think the most likely explanation of her death was she had left her long term psychiatrist for a new one.
But her depression and feelings of lack of confidence persisted and got worse.
She was on medication from her new psychiatrist but on the night of her death in a desperate low, she phoned her old psychiatrist who called around and administered another strong dose of medication.
So between the two doctors and additional alcohol and possibly some drugs Marilyn was taking herself, she suffered an overdose and died.
There was evidence (but never conclusively by the police) that her old psychiatrist was in her house again before her death was officially discovered and removed any incriminating evidence that may have led to a criminal prosecution of possible malpractice on him.
There is much more to the story but it's twenty or thirty years since I read it.
I can't remember the names or specific details anymore.
But for me it simply and believably explained the tragedy of her death and ignored all of the outlandish conspiracy theories.
Marilyn didn't commit suicide.
She wasn't murdered by the Kennedys or the CIA or the mob or Cubans or the Illuminati or anything else that's just too ridiculous.
It was a simple overdose caused by her well meaning old psychiatrist who gave her additional medication on top of her new medication.
But he covered his tracks to save his career and reputation.
Perhaps Marilyn in her desperate state of mind told him she wasn't on any or a lower dose of medication?
We'll never know.
It was a tragedy and a huge loss.
But her old doctor covered his mistake and removed evidence from her home so in that way, it was a cover up and possibly it could be described as a conspiracy that only one or two other people knew the full truth of?
I don't bother with details of her death.
I prefer to remember the beauty and joy she brought to the world instead.

My take: A certain movie is coming out today, and it doesn't do justice to who Marilyn was, not what, but who. The sensitivity of the creator of this video is authentic and definitely does not treat an actress as an object, but as a person: complex, passionate, emotionally lacking, sometimes innocent and sometimes not. But above all with fear, fear of not being loved. And in my opinion there are still people who are not loving her as a human being.
I hope I made myself understood, both Norma Jean and Marilyn deserve respect, that's all I want to say.

@X-MISMA-X I do not agree with your point of view because of the following: The function of the film and the book is not to reflect the difficulties of NJM on its way in HW, because it is fiction. None of this is supported by primary sources. Yes, the harassment and many other things that the guild over there has allowed are said as obvious secrets. But the fact that you make a movie where she was NEVER happy makes me think that you don't see her as a human being, more like an object.
