Op 15-jarige leeftijd zong Corry Konings als zangeres van "De Mooks". Ze werd 'ontdekt' door Pierre Kartner die haar aan de band de Rekels koppelde. Als Corry en de Rekels maakte ze furore met het lied Huilen is voor jou te laat in 1970. Twee jaar later startte ze een solo-carrière waarin ze met nummers als Ik krijg een heel apart gevoel van binnen, Jij weet toch wel wat liefde is, Hoe je heette dat ben ik vergeten, Je Moedertje en Adios Amor scoorde. In 2004 kwam Corry nog eenmaal met de Rekels bij elkaar voor een reünie.
In augustus 2007 zou de zangeres emigreren van het Brabantse Berkel-Enschot naar het Spaanse Benalmádena. Vanwege een galsteenoperatie bij de zangeres zijn verhuisplannen voor onbepaalde tijd uitgesteld.
In mei 2007 laat ze in de regionale krant De Gelderlander weten dat ze nadenkt om in 2009 afscheid te nemen als zangeres. Het is dan precies 40 jaar geleden dat ze voor het eerst in de hitparade stond.
