Cri-Cri is known as the "grillito cantor" or "the singing cricket". He is a character created by Francisco Gabilondo Soler in his childhood and may even be considered "his inner personality"
The character became so famous and gave its author such renown, that it became a second name for Gabilondo. In the mid part of the 20th century he became the most recognizable singer of children's songs in Spanish. Gabilondo's dedication to this segment of the population has been greatly admired, comparable to Walt Disney in his honest approach to making life fun for those who are getting started in life.

no lo pueden remediar
se taparaon con la capa de mi tío
pa'poderse calentar.
Los perritos tiemblan mucho
y los gatos tiemblan más;
los michitos y los chuchos
Van a dar ya las ocho de la mañana
me tendre que levantar
al sacar una patita de la cama
se me va a congelar;
Dejaré la regadera
hoy no me podré bañar:
el agua se ha vuelto hielo
¡y me va a descalabrar!
El Invierno es un viejo que tortura
con agujas de cristal;
en la nieve pone tal temperatura
imposible de aguantar
Que los perros y los gatos
me reprochan su frialdad;
pero mía no es la culpa
y los tengo que abrazar.
Mi reloj despertador con traca-traca
se dedica a insistír
que me salga de la cama
y que deje de dormir.
Pues muy bien: seré heróico
marchare a trabajar;
mis perritos y mis gatos
¡si que sigan a roncar!
The song "Tipos Friolentos" by Cri-Cri talks about the difficulties faced by dogs and cats during winter due to the cold weather. The lyrics depict how the animals try to stay warm by using a blanket provided by the singer's uncle. While this situation causes the cats and dogs to finally feel comfortable, the singer struggles to leave his bed due to the freezing temperature. The water in the shower has also turned into ice, making it even more difficult to get up and start the day. The singer describes winter as an old man who tortures people with crystal needles and makes it impossible for them to bear the cold.
The lyrics suggest that while the singer understands the animals' frustration with the cold weather, he cannot control the weather or the temperature. Thus, he has no choice but to embrace the animals to provide them with warmth. The singer's alarm clock constantly reminds him to wake up and leave the warm bed, as he prepares to go to work, leaving the cats and dogs sleeping peacefully.
