The lyrics of "Jabeh Javaher" by Ebi express a metaphorical comparison between the singer's heart and a precious jewelry box full of jewels, or a garden of orange blossoms during springtime. The song's lyrics also touch upon the fleeting nature of love, with the singer lamenting the fact that it seems to disappear from memory all too easily. The chorus repeats twice, emphasizing the futility of attempting to hold onto love as it slips away.
The opening verses describe the singer's heart as a jewelry box filled with valuable gems, beautifully decorated and alluring to the eye. However, in the second verse, the singer compares their heart to a garden of orange blossoms during springtime, a tranquil and peaceful haven for those who are tired and in need of solace. Both scenarios are visually appealing and desirable, but the last line of each verse hints at the underlying theme of loss and heartbreak.
The bridge of the song talks about the singer giving their heart as a birthday gift to their lover, only to have it thrown away and returned to them. The repetition of the line, "هدیه رو پس فرستاد" (he-die-roo pas for-stad) which translates to "he sent the gift back", creates a sense of finality and emphasizes the fleeting nature of love and relationships.
Overall, the song is a poetic exploration of the feeling of loss and heartbreak, using powerful metaphors to convey the fragility of love.
