The final verse admits that there is love that floats and fades away, and there is love that, if cut, causes pain. The singer does not want to hear when that love will come, and simply offers an umbrella to the person they love. The song is set in the same hot spring town mentioned in the first verse, where the sound of women weeping (しぐれ) can be heard echoing throughout the night.
