Cri-Cri is known as the "grillito cantor" or "the singing cricket". He is a character created by Francisco Gabilondo Soler in his childhood and may even be considered "his inner personality"
The character became so famous and gave its author such renown, that it became a second name for Gabilondo. In the mid part of the 20th century he became the most recognizable singer of children's songs in Spanish. Gabilondo's dedication to this segment of the population has been greatly admired, comparable to Walt Disney in his honest approach to making life fun for those who are getting started in life.

This children's song by Mexican musician Francisco Gabilondo Soler, also known as Cri-Cri, tells the story of a bunny who is tasked with shaking a rug under an old tree. The bunny takes his "big stick," tightens his belt, and counts to three before hitting the rug with all his might. He revels in the act of hitting something and imagines himself as a baseball player hitting a home run. However, he also acknowledges that he sometimes gets hit by his mother when he misbehaves. The bunny invites others to take a turn at hitting the rug and imagines himself flying away on a magical carpet, like Aladdin escaping from Bagdad.
