Cri-Cri is known as the "grillito cantor" or "the singing cricket". He is a character created by Francisco Gabilondo Soler in his childhood and may even be considered "his inner personality"
The character became so famous and gave its author such renown, that it became a second name for Gabilondo. In the mid part of the 20th century he became the most recognizable singer of children's songs in Spanish. Gabilondo's dedication to this segment of the population has been greatly admired, comparable to Walt Disney in his honest approach to making life fun for those who are getting started in life.
La Vaca Pensativa
Cri-Cri Lyrics

Va caminando
Va cabizbaja
Va cabilando
Dicen que vaca
Se escribe con ′b'
¡Va! cada cosa
En la pradera
Que hermoso es vivir
Con horizontes
Que no tienen fin
Bajo las nubes
Y rayos de sol
Con la vaquita
De mi corazón
Cuando la vaca
Va caminando
Va cabizbaja
Va cabilando
Y si no deja
De reflexionar
Vaca-vaca-vaca-vaca-vaca
Va a acabarse de tanto pensar
The song La Vaca Pensativa by Cri-Cri tells the story of a cow who walks through the fields with her head lowered, lost in thought. She is so deep in her own reflective musings that she begins to stumble as she walks. The lyrics play with the idea that the word "vaca" (cow) is spelled with a "b" in Spanish, adding an element of playful word humor. The song paints a picture of the beauty of living on the prairie, with vast horizons and open skies, and the simple pleasures of being with the cow that captures the singer's heart.
