La fisarmonica
Gianni Morandi Lyrics

stasera suona per te
per ricordarti un amore
uno di tanti anni fa,
la fisarmonica.
Ma tu non piangere
non si cancella così,
torna più grande che mai
quando vivevi felice con me.
Se chiudo gli occhi
vedo il tuo viso
rivedo il tuo sorriso
ma le mani lontane
non si stringono più.
La fisarmonica
stasera suona per noi
torna più grande che mai
il desiderio di te
la fisarmonica suona per me
Era di notte
c'era la luna
baciavo le tue labbra,
era l'ultima volta
te ne andavi da me,
amor
The lyrics of Gianni Morandi's song La Fisarmonica are a beautiful and nostalgic reflection on a lost love. The song's title refers to the accordion, an instrument that evokes images of romantic and melancholic moments, which plays for the singer's former lover. The singer remembers an old love affair, one of many from years ago, and tries to console his former partner who is crying, telling her that the memory of their love cannot be erased so easily. He acknowledges that even though they have grown apart, his desire for her has only grown stronger, and he recalls how happy they once were together.
In the second verse, the singer says that he can still see his former lover's face and smile, but sadly, their hands no longer touch. The loss of physical intimacy is a powerful reminder of the distance between them, and the sorrow that comes with it. Yet, the accordion plays on, representing the persistence of love, even when it is no longer manifest in tangible ways. The final verse sees the singer addressing himself rather than his former lover. He remembers the night when they last kissed, and the moon was out. He admits that it was the last time she left him, and he was left with the pain of losing her.
Overall, La Fisarmonica is a song that captures the bittersweet nature of memories and lost love. It speaks to the power of music to evoke emotions and bring people together, even when they are no longer physically close. Its universal themes have made it a beloved classic in Italy and beyond.
