ho dato tanto
e niente per me ci resta
Ma sono contento,
canto lo stesso
e canto così..
e chiudi la finestra
se non vuoi sentirmi più
Ma chi se ne importa
se adesso il mio cuore si spezza
Un giorno d'amore per me
vale più di cent'anni.
Sembrava un capriccio
ed invece per lei sto morendo
Peccato che al mondo si vive
una volta soltanto
e non si ritorna più,
ma se si potesse, sai
io ricomincerei
Lei mentre io canto,
lei si commuove, fa sempre così,
che donna !
Lei quando si pente,
piange davvero, non è come me
Per quei suoi occhi teneri
chissà cosa farei
Ma chi se ne importa
se adesso il mio cuore si spezza
Un giorno d'amore per me
vale più di cent'anni.
Sembrava un capriccio
ed invece per lei sto morendo
Peccato che al mondo si vive
una volta soltanto
e non si ritorna più,
ma se si potesse, sai
io ricomincerei
The song "Ma Chi Se Ne Importa" by Gianni Morandi talks about the pain of not being loved back by the person you love. The first stanza talks about the singer giving everything to the person they love, but not receiving anything in return. Despite this, the singer continues to sing and is happy doing so. The stanza ends with the suggestion to close the window if the listener does not want to hear the singer's voice anymore. The second half of the stanza talks about how, ultimately, it doesn't matter if the singer's heart is breaking because one day of love is worth more than a hundred years.
The second stanza talks about the singer's love interest, who they describe as emotional and sensitive. The singer is willing to do anything for her because of her "tender eyes". The idea that this love could be a whim seems to have been discarded because the singer is dying for her. It expresses regret about only living once in life and not being able to return once you have lived it. However, if one could, the singer says they would start over again.
