T… Read Full Bio ↴The group was born in 1990 when Andrés Calamaro arrived in Spain.
There he teamed up with Argentinean Ariel Rot, who had already played with him in Argentina, and the Spaniard Julian Infante. Rot and Infante had been composers of the youthful group Tequila. The three of them, along with Germán Vilella, - the other Spaniard in the band, - began their tests and small concerts in Madrid.
At first they were going to call the band 'Los Locos', but they soon found out that there was already an Asturian group with that name. The definitive name is due to Calamaro's amusement from the Spanish expression 'to be in Rodriguez' (when the head of a household must stay in the city for work reasons, while his wife and children enjoy themselves at the beach), because he himself was 'in Rodriguez', since he had left his fiancée in Argentina.
After composing their first songs they released their first album in 1991: 'Buena Suerte', which had great acceptance in Argentina, mainly because of Fabiana Cantilo's cover of the song 'Mi Enfermedad'. In Spain, nevertheless, it did not succeed, mainly because the recording company that published it (Passion) went bankrupt soon after the release. In 1992 they released a live album called 'Disco Pirata', with recordings from their Madrid, Barcelona and Caracas shows. In 1993 they again released a studio record, 'Sin Documentos'. In 1995 they released their last studio album 'Palabras Más, Palabras Menos', with famous songs like 'Mucho Mejor' or 'Milonga Del Marinero Y El Capitán'.
After a final tour, the group decided to separate after releasing a greatest hits album entitled 'Hasta Luego'.

Oeh oeh oh, oeh oeh oh
Ah ah ah, ah ah ah ah
Oeh oeh oeh oeh oeh oh ah
Hace calor, hace calor
Princesa y vagabunda, garganta profunda
Sálvame de esta soledad
Oeh oeh oh, oeh oeh oh
Oeh oeh oh, oeh oeh oh
Ah ah ah, ah ah ah ah
Oeh oeh oeh oeh oeh oh ah
Hace calor, hace calor
Princesa y vagabunda, garganta profunda
Sálvame de esta soledad
Oeh oeh oh, oeh oeh oh
Oeh oeh oh, oeh oeh oh
Ah ah ah, ah ah ah ah
Oeh oeh oeh oeh oeh oh ah
Hace calor, hace calor
Ella tiene la receta para estar mucho mejor
Sin truco, sin prisa, me entrega su sonrisa
Como una sacerdotisa del amor
Luna de miel, luna de papel
Luna llena, piel canela, dame noches de placer
A veces estoy mal, a veces estoy bien
Te daré mi corazón para que juegues con él
Ah ah ah, ah ah ah
Podrían acusarme, ella es menor de edad
Iremos a un hotel, iremos a cenar
Pero nunca iremos juntos al altar
Oeh oeh oh, oeh oeh oh
Oeh oeh oh, oeh oeh oh
Ah ah ah, ah ah ah
Oeh oeh oeh oeh oeh oh ah
Oeh oeh oh, oeh oeh oh
Oeh oeh oh, oeh oeh oh
Ah ah ah, ah ah ah
Oeh oeh oeh oeh oeh oh ah
The song "Mucho Mejor" by Los Rodriguez is about a man who is longing for a woman and wants to convince her to be with him. The song opens up with the singer expressing his excitement to be with the woman and spend time with her, seeking to open a bottle of wine and make love in the balcony. He then goes on to describe his heart as a muscle that needs action, and he is willing to give his all to the woman. The chorus repeats the idea that the woman is the perfect combination of sweetness and saltiness and that she can save him from his loneliness.
The second verse continues with the theme of the heart that needs to be stimulated, and the singer asks the woman for both peace and war and a sweet drug to make him feel alive. He again shows his willingness to give himself entirely to her. The chorus is repeated, but this time with an emphasis on the woman's ability to make things better. In the final verse, the singer describes the woman as having the secret to feeling "mucho mejor" or "much better" and pledges to give her his heart to play with. Though they might face criticism due to the woman's age, the two desire to be together and live in the moment without any desires for a future together.
Overall, "Mucho Mejor" is a passionate song that expresses a man's desire for a woman and willingness to give everything to be with her. The lyrics are rich with poetic imagery, and the upbeat melody complements the romantic theme of the song.
