Renowned for her voice range and often credited for her versatility, Bhosle's work includes film music, pop, ghazals, bhajans, traditional Indian Classical music, folk songs, qawwalis, Rabindra Sangeets and Nazrul Geetis. She has sung Hindi, Assamese, Urdu, Telugu, Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati, Punjabi, Tamil, English, Russian, Czech, Nepali, Malay and Malayalam.
In 2006, Asha Bhosle stated that she had sung over 12,000 songs, a figure repeated by several other sources. The World Records Academy, an international organization which certifies world records, recognized her as the "Most Recorded Artist" in the world, in September 2009. The Government of India honoured her with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2000 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2008.

Tanu was one of the most talented but highly under rated actress with excellent comic timing, which was a rarity back then the actresses used to be suffering and sobbing all the time and that tragedy queen used to be the benchmark of a 'good' actress. But Tanu could do serious roles,as well as, comic ones with equal elan like making faces, squinting , hopping around and all that.
All in all,an all round actress,I would say, just like her elder sister Nautanki. Even Nutan had excellent comic timing.

I have heard it's piano instrumental on record that we have in our house... always had keen interest to listen this song... finally got to watch...nice lyrics and back then advance song...of black n white movie...heroine in swimsuit..bravo
