"Link...
Link...
The Master Sword...
Your sword...
She is the key
to dstroy the Demon King...
He defeated her before...
But, a long slumber
will heal these greivous wounds...
And when you two
next face the Demon King...
...
You will have my strength to help you...
Through her...
...
Link, you are our final hope...
...
I pray...
This sword reaches you
in the future...."
The heaviest words Zelda has ever said, the cutscene truely gave the feeling of hope.
@HalvoDraws
the way zelda refers to the sword as 'she' instead of it made me so happy beyond belief
@josbird
This is a prime example of the enormous improvement in voice direction Zelda's VA had since BotW. Holy shit what a performance here
@HalvoDraws
she genuinely sounds robotic at the start of botw so its genuinely whiplashing comparing her skills at voice acting then vs now
@Vic_G1
@@HalvoDrawsI also realize her voice was kind of annoyingly high pitched in BOTW, her voice sounds deeper and more mature in TOTK.
@GPXBrent
@@HalvoDrawsTbh, I think the voice actress was good back then as well. They just directed it better.
@imnobody101
She doesn't have an over exaggerated british accent anymore lol
@Cadialvaro
0:40 onwards is slightly similar to when Zelda bids farewell to the master sword in deku tree’s care during Botw. “The master sword… I heard it speak to me. It seems that my role is unfinished.”
This cutscene was even more striking. I was speechless, what a beautiful connection I found here. The whole cutscene is heartbreaking though: seeing her like a motionless creature within her dragon form, trying to speak to Link as a dragon ❤️🩹
@AlejandroScared
Hands down, this version of Zelda has the full triforce.
She has had sacred power of her own without the need of the triforce but this one is constantly being represented with the three triangles. Here it's even a solid shape in front of her hand instead of the usual flat shape and the power is actively coming out of it.
I don't know what else to say. It has to be the triforce.
@HalvoDraws
i think her literally nuking dark beast ganon into oblivion like its the easiest thing she's done speaks for itself
@chipcinemation
he defeated her before but, a long slumber will heal these grievous wounds is absolutely the most gut wrenching words she’s ever said, so powerful, good job Patricia, she deserves an award for this scene alone
