In Pedro Infante's song La Traidora, the singer has recently discovered that his lover has been unfaithful. He overhears her speaking to her lover and telling him all about their relationship, in painful detail. The singer is devastated as he listens to her betrayal, unable to believe what he's hearing. The lover even shows a picture of her to her new flame, describing her beauty in order to impress him. The singer is left feeling humiliated and crushed.
Despite his anger and bitterness, the singer seems to still have feelings for his unfaithful love. He says that he could "kill him and bring him to her feet," but acknowledges that the other man is not to blame for her unfaithfulness. Instead, he blames the woman herself for being a "bad woman" who did not appreciate the goodness of her partner. The song ends with the singer saying that he will leave her and forget her, changing his name so that she no longer exists to him.
