Sin duda la versión de Jorge tiene potencia, pero ¿a quien no le hubiese gustado que alguien le cantara al oído esta canción así como la cantó Pedro? A mi si, la voz de Jorge Negrete es para cantar de lejos, lo contrario de la voz melodiosa de Pedro Infante. Y aún con esa diversidad ambos fueron los mas insignes representantes de México, país del que no soy miembro pero me gusta por su historia musical de la época de estos grandes cantantes.

Esto echa por tierra aquella "anécdota" contada por Chava Flores donde dijo que cuando Jorge quiso cantar los temas de Infante, Pedro lo amenazó con cantar él también sus temas, a lo que según Flores Jorge tuvo miedo y se retractó de su intención por miedo a que Pedro le robara sus éxitos. Me hubiera gustado escuchar a Pedro intentar cantar Ay Jalisco no te rajes o yo soy mexicano, jajaja
